What & Why We Collect Personal Data

When visitors interact with our website and services we collect information.  This information is personal and non-personal data.  

Personal information is given voluntary by the user, and my include name, email and more.  When the user provides this personal information, it is for the purpose to opt-in for a free download and to participate in our email marketing.  If the user chooses to send an email, the information that’s disclosed is saved on our email server.  We use personal information to send emails, email marketing, and for customer service.  

Non-personal information is anonymous.  It cannot be linked to anyone, and is only used to analyze data in an agglomerate manner.  This non-personal data may include : IP address, types of device our Website was accessed on, the type of browser used, the way in which our Website was used, any pages or posted viewed or interacted with, and the city our Website was accessed from.   We use non-personal data to analyze traffic of the Website.  We also may share non-personal data with third-party advertisers who may want to advertise on our Website.  Non-personal information helps us better understand our market and the people we serve.  Non-personal information cannot be linked back to the user.  


When a user leaves comments on the Website, we collect the information shown in the comments form.  We may also collect the user’s IP address and browser user agent string so to identify possible spam.  


If you choose to upload an image to the Website, please note, that you need to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.  Visitors to the Website are able to download and extract any location information form images on the website.

The Farmers Market Nutritionist does not use contract forms.

If you would like to un-subscribe or un-enroll for emails you are able to do so.  All emails contain an unsubscribe link at the bottom, so that you can unsubscribe yourself.  If you would like you email address and personal information to be permanently deleted from the database list, please send an email to with you request.   

Embedded content and links from additional websites

Articles on the site may include embedded content (ie. video, article, images, etc) and link from other websites.  Embedded content from other websites acts in the same way as if the user has visited the other website.  These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor you interaction with that embedded content.  This includes tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged onto that website.  When accessing links, once you leave this website it is your responsibility and up to you to review the privacy policy of that website.

We do not share or use your personal data to send you spam or unrelated offers.  

We may transfer you data due to any reorganization, restructuring, sale, merger, or other transfer of assets.  We reserve the right to move our information, which includes your personal information.  This is provided that the receiving party agrees to respect your personal data in a manner that aligns with our Privacy Policy.

How long we keep you information

If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.  This is so we can identify and approve any additional comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.  

For visitors that register on our website (if any), we store the personal data they provide within their profile.  All visitors can see, edit, or remove their personal data at any time (with the exception they cannot change their username).  Website personnel can also see and edit the information.  

Rights you have over your information

If you have establish an account on this site, or have shared comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal information we hold about you, including any data you have shared with us.  You can also request that we remove any personal information we hold about you.  This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.  If you notice that any data we have on file is not correct, you have the right to ask for it to be corrected.  You also have the right to file a compliant with a supervisory authority at any time.

What data breach procedures are in place 

If a data breach occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible via email.  You will be notified about what information may have been compromised, the way we corrected the breech, and how to protect yourself moving forward.  

What third parties we receive information form 

If you make a purchase through any of the programs we are affiliates for, we will receive an email notifying us of the sale.  This email may include personal information about you, like your name and email address.  We retain this information, but keep it private and not share it.  

Children under the age of 13 years old
